Winner of eight Grammy Awards and numerous Billboard, American Music and MTV Music Video Awards, Tina Turner is internationally recognised as one of the most successful and influential female artists of the 21^st century, and the global ‘Queen of Rock and Roll’. Born in Nutbush, Tennessee, Tina began her career in the mid-1950s alongside the infamous Ike Turner and the Kings of Rhythm – soon catapulting the band to stardom as lead singer of the reformed group, The Ike and Tina Turner Revue. Following a string of chart topping hits around the world, Tina’s well documented tumultuous relationship with Ike led her to finally leave the duo in 1976; allowing her to relaunch an international Rock and Roll solo career in the 80’s, parallel to no other.

Pulitzer Award-winning and two-time Tony-nominated Memphis-native KATORI HALL is the book writer and co-producer of the West End and Broadway hit Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. She’s also the creator of P-VALLEY, the Starz drama based on her play Pussy Valley. The critically acclaimed series has been garnered a variety of accolades, including the NAACP Image Award for best Television Drama.

Katori’s latest theatrical piece, The Hot Wing King, premiered in Spring 2020 at the Signature Theatre, rounding out her three-play residency and winning her the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Her play The Mountaintop, which fictionalizes the last night in Martin Luther King’s life, won the Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2010 before opening on Broadway in October 2011 to critical acclaim. Katori’s other works include the award-winning Hurt Village, Hoodoo Love, Saturday Night/Sunday Morning, Our Lady of Kibeho, Children of Killers, and The Blood Quilt. She is also the director of the award-winning short, ARKABUTLA.

Katori is an alumna of Columbia University, ART at Harvard University, and Juilliard. She’s a graduate of the Sundance Episodic Lab’s inaugural class, the Sundance Screenwriting Lab, and Ryan Murphy’s Half Foundation Directing Program. In addition to her Laurence Olivier Award, Katori’s other awards include a Susan Smith Blackburn Award, Lark Play Development Center Playwrights of New York (PONY) Fellowship, two Lecompte du Nouy Prizes from Lincoln Center, Fellowship of Southern Writers Bryan Family Award in Drama, NYFA Fellowship, the Columbia University John Jay Award for Distinguished Professional Achievement, National Black Theatre’s August Wilson Playwriting Award, and the Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award.

Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins have enjoyed Award-winning success during their collaborations as playwrights. Together they wrote smash hit bio musical Hij Gelooft in Mij, based on legendary folk singer André Hazes, which received rave reviews and ran for over two and half years in Amsterdam’s prolific DeLaMar Theatre. The duo also adapted Tessa de Loo’s international bestseller, De Tweeling, which toured nationally. Together, the pair’s work also extends to film and television, collaborating on the Prix Europa and International Emmy Award-winning feature film De Uitverkorene, and TV series Bij ons in de Jordaan, documenting the life of much loved Dutch solo artist Johnny Jordaan. The series won two Golden Calf Awards at the annual Netherlands Film Festival.

Individually, Kees Prins was previously a member of the international theatre group ‘Werkteater’, and has also written, starred-in and directed the successful Dutch TV Series, Jiskefet for VPRO. Kees is also currently involved in a number of soon to be announced theatre projects, set for production in the Netherlands over the next two years.

During Frank Ketelaar’s early career, graduating from the Dutch Film Academy in screenwriting and directing, he wrote over ten feature films, including the critically acclaimed In Oranje. The film won over ten international awards, including two International Young Artists Awards in LA. Frank also penned the Award-winning Dutch TV series Overspel, which was subsequently picked up by US TV network ABC, re-released as Betrayal. In addition to his later wins, Frank has been further nominated for many other Golden Calf Awards at the Netherlands Film Festival, throughout his career.

Phyllida’s West End smash hit MAMMA MIA! ran on Broadway for 10 years and 18 years on, the show still runs in the West End today and has subsequently opened globally, having now been seen by over 56 million people across 40 countries. The success of the show also led Phyllida to direct the film version of the musical for Universal Pictures, starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Amanda Seyfried – which went on to receive a Golden Globe and BAFTA nomination.

She directed the critically acclaimed 5 star TINA in London’s West End, and the all female Shakespeare Trilogy: The Tempest, Julius Caesar and Henry IV (which was nominated for the Southbank Award) for the Donmar Warehouse – all of which were also seen in New York, where she has previously directed Taming of the Shrew, at the Public Theatre and Josephine and I at Joe’s Pub at The Public, a transfer from The Bush.

For the National Theatre, Phyllida directed Grenfell: In The Words of Survivors, The Way of the World, Pericles, What the Butler Saw, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and The Duchess of Malfi. For the Donmar Warehouse Phyllida directed Mary Stuart – which transferred to the Apollo Theatre London and then Broadway – The Threepenny Opera and Boston Marriage. She directed Six Degrees of Separation, Hysteria and Wild East all for the Royal Court, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner with Fiona Shaw at the Old Vic Tunnels, Brooklyn Academy of Music and Epidavros, and Artists and Admirers and The Virtuoso for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Phyllida’s other film credits include the Oscar Award-winning The Iron Lady, starring Meryl Streep and Jim Broadbent, Herself which premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2020 and Gloriana for the BBC. Phyllida has also directed many operatic productions including works for the Royal Opera House and English National Opera and Opera North.  Her work in opera has garnered an International Emmy, a FIPA d’Or and the Royal Philharmonic Society Award. In 2010, Phyllida was awarded a CBE for her services to drama.

Anthony trained at the London School of Contemporary Dance, later joining the company as both performer and choreographer.

Bruno Poet works extensively in opera, theatre, dance and live music. Bruno has designed for many of the world’s leading opera houses. Ethan is a Grammy Award nominated Music Producer and two-time Tony Award nominated Orchestrator.  With a career spanning over the last twenty years, his work as a Music Supervisor, Arranger, Orchestrator and Music Producer has been seen and heard worldwide.  Starting in 2013, Ethan served as the Music Supervisor, Arranger and Orchestrator for Broadway’s Motown The Musical, which earned him a 2013 Tony Award nomination for Best Orchestrations (along with Co-Orchestrator Bryan Crook). He also received a 2014 Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theater Album (as Music Producer of the show’s Original Broadway Cast Recording, along with Co-Producer Frank Filipetti).

Most recently Ethan was nominated for a 2020 Tony Award for his work on TINA.

Ethan served as the Music Supervisor for the Broadway world premiere and 2016 Tony Award nominated Best Musical School of Rock, Music Supervisor for the Broadway premiere and 2015 Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Neil Patrick Harris and as Music Supervisor, Arranger and Orchestrator for the 2008 Tony Award nominated Best Musical, Rock Of Ages (Broadway, Toronto, US Tour, Australia, West End), for which he also co-produced the highly acclaimed Original Broadway Cast Recording. Tali Pelman is Group Creative Managing Director for Stage Entertainment, a first-class international theatrical producer and presenter. Sacha Milroy production managed TINA when she worked with Mark Rubinstein Ltd from 2017-2019. Sacha is now Executive Producer at Punchdrunk. She started her career in stage management before working extensively as a production manager and event manager for various theatre companies, West End, festivals and on tour. She joined the National Theatre as Production Manager and went on to become Head of Production, managing a large production department comprising scenic construction, painting, props, costume, production and stage management. Latterly during her time at the National Theatre, she was Director of Producing & Planning. Sacha has also worked at Shakespeare’s Globe as Executive Producer and Secret Cinema as Technical & Production Director.
